I was planning to give the site a facelift as well, but unfortunately my free time for the year has come to an end. Oh well.
UPDATE: Fixed a few more things I noticed were broken, namely smileys and uploaded avatars. Rejoice! 140 Views | 0 Replies

by Mr. K on August 04, 2008, 06:32:48 PMHello again.
Sorry about the extremely long downtime, way longer than expected. However, it was out of my control. Hold your fire!
Things are looking a bit funny, but the board does function. I'm working on fixing the theme. Also, I might revert to the old Lemmings Forums configuration, just because I've noted that this portal might make the board upgrade-proof... not such a good thing eh? Not like it's being used for much anyway. However, just an idea. 204 Views | 1 Reply

by Mr. K on July 06, 2008, 10:23:17 PMI've pulled this quote from another site hosted on isamedia.org, which is Sonic Vegemite: Hi. I'm Zachary Hinchliffe, and I own ISAmedia, the website that hosts Sonic Vegemite. Recently I have run into some financial issues, and I may not be able to keep ISAmedia (and thusly, Sonic Vegemite) up much longer. So, I have set up a donate button on my website. All you need is a credit card or a PayPal account. Any donations are greatly accepted, and $5.00 US or more gets you a bonus episode of my cartoon, " The Adventures Of!", if you're interested, and $20.00 US or more gets you free, unrestricted hosting on my website for as long as it exists. I really need the help, so if you like Sonic Vegemite, please consider donating. Thanks! Sincerely, Zachary Hinchliffe. DONATE HERE: http://www.isamedia.org/So, seeing as we too are hosted here, please try and keep us and everything else on isamedia.org alive by donating to him. He's done a lot for me, you, and a lot of others on the web hosting front, and now we need to give back in order to stay online. Thanks. 344 Views | 6 Replies

by Mr. K on January 21, 2008, 02:47:15 PMYou know, there are already a bunch of other Lemmings sites. They can give you info. This is pretty much going to end up as a Lemmings community, for all the fan stuff. A good home for Lemmings fans that is maintained is pretty hard to find. In addition to those level packs that have been trickling in, I'll probably be adding more sections for Lemmings fan-stuff soon, maybe stuff like art and the likes. Additionally, I'll finally get to work on modifying the theme to make it feel more Lemmings-y. 1252 Views | 7 Replies

by Mr. K on October 20, 2007, 07:17:47 AMYes, finally a new feature! A downloads section!
Currently, all I'm allowing uploaded are CustLemm levels and packs, due to their small size. I'm not sure how space is on my hosting but I think it's a slight bit tight, so nothing bigger (like Cheapo stuff) will be uploadable until then. I'm also only allowing .zip and .rar compressed files for now.
Nothing's in the section right now, because it's up to you guys to upload your stuff! If you've got a level or pack you'd like to upload, just go into the Downloads section and click the little Upload link. Once it's uploaded, it will be put in an approval queue where it will be checked to make sure it is a valid download.
I hope you enjoy this! I have time now to work on the site so progress will move at a much faster pace. I'm still looking for site teamers, though, and with this new download system you will have a use (you can approve/deny downloads) 1112 Views | 4 Replies

by Mr. K on October 02, 2007, 04:07:28 PMSure, I said I was going to add all kinds of awesome stuff to here, right? That was nearly a month and a half ago and I haven't delivered. Things have been pretty hectic in my personal life, and I only get a few hours of time every week to sit down and relax. Marching band is quite demanding. Luckily, it's over in about two weeks so I'll be able to start work at that point. Therefore, things should start showing up in mid-October or nearer to Halloween if for some reason my schedule doesn't clear up. Also, as I said in the original news posting, if you want to apply for a position to help out with putting together site content, let me know and if I trust you enough I'll set you up to do so. Thanks for waiting! 1041 Views | 5 Replies

by Mr. K on August 19, 2007, 04:06:58 PMHi guys! This is the start of a prolonged project I am doing. Lemmings Forums is going to be turned into a full fledged site eventually, one which is community centered and therefore is far less likely to suffer the fate most other Lemmings fansites have in recent years-- a chronic lack of updates.
As of now, there's nothing to see on the site side, really, but I'll be working to remedy that. I will need some help, though, because my schedule for the next two or so months looks stressful. Please let me know (via either PM, or a post in this news topic) if you would like access to the site's backend to help me add content about the games. If I think you are worthy of working on it, you'll get a special rank and be able to do some more things around the site!
Soon I will be adding other features, like an upload system so you can upload your custom levels, tools, etc to the site. (Nothing of large size, though, because I only have limited space!) I'll also be tweaking the graphics around the site to make it more Lemmingy.
I've also started revitalizing the community to make it more friendly looking. I've added an official rule set (which, mind-bogglingly, has been absent for more than a year), a welcome topic, and given some boards new names and descriptions. Hopefully we can be even better!
Help on a new name for the site would be nice.
Hope you're not bothered by this step in a new direction! (If too many people are, though, I will revert back to this being just a forum) Enjoy!
